A Senior Site Buyer with the global leader in the creation of Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrance & Beauty, an important member of our Regional Procurement team, and based in our Dubai office – Your future position?
To support our growing business activity and ambitious growth aspirations in the region, we are now hiring a Senior Site Buyer for our Regional Indirect Material and Services (IM&S) team.
You will be a business partner and be responsible for supporting the sourcing and contracting of indirect materials and services for our teams at the Regional Head Office in Dubai, as well as supporting our growing commercial presence and footprint across the Middle East and Africa region.
You will optimise cost in line with Givaudans Global and Regional Category strategies and procurement guidelines. You will be the primary contact for the Dubai site, responsible for operational and tactical sourcing of IM&S categories. You will closely collaborate with our stakeholders in the Dubai office and coordinate procurement activities for the site.
As an individual contributor, you will be based in our Dubai office in the United Arab Emirates and report to the Regional Head of Procurement for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will ensure that Givaudan achieves and exceeds our purpose goals and objectives. The role offers excellent opportunities for both personal and professional development.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for
Sourcing:
Advise and assist site stakeholders in evaluating and pricing alternative materials.
Identify and drive local cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities in line with Indirect Material and Services, business targets and business needs.
Support initiatives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and packaging costs.
Support the global and regional category management teams in implementing global and regional strategies across the site. This includes sourcing (including RFxs and e-auctions), pricing, rejections, supplier inventory management, supply chain management, obsolescence, and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Provide sourcing support to local site stakeholders and liaise with the Procurement Shared Service Support team as appropriate.
Vendor Selection:
Select vendors based on corporate assessment criteria (quality, financials, sustainability/responsible sourcing, risk, etc.) and consolidate the preferred supplier base.
Initiate search for new or alternative materials or products.
Investigate and approve requests for vendor creation.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Solicit and analyse quotes, negotiate prices and delivery terms and investigate invoice discrepancies.
Implement global, regional and local agreements, and support the financial targets as outlined by IM&S Procurement and the business.
Conduct local negotiations with suppliers and ensure adequate contract coverage within the portfolio and for spend as defined by the Head of Procurement, IM&S EMEA, following the global delegation of authorities and signatories policy.
Review and approve purchase requisitions, orders, and other vendor-related administrative workflows.
Measure the performance of vendors based on the quality of work, cost, timelines, and other relevant parameters.
Ensure that appropriate risk evaluation is conducted within the IM&S risk framework and implement mitigation actions that meet business needs.
Facilitate the escalation and resolution of issues regarding sourcing and contracting.
Reporting, Process Management, and Delivery:
Support the site and the Procurement Shared Service Support team in sourcing and contracting matters on a daily basis.
Serve as the first point of escalation for the site to the Procurement Shared Service Support team.
Create and update information in SAP as required.
Implement the IM&S processes and systems on-site, adhering to global procurement guidelines.
Maintain existing catalogues and implement new catalogues as needed.
Adoption of AI and Technology:
Leverage AI and advanced technologies to enhance procurement processes and decision-making.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring the organisation remains competitive and innovative.
Collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to develop technology solutions that support procurement objectives and enhance stakeholder engagement.
You?
Your professional profile includes:
A bachelors or university degree focused on procurement, business studies or any other relevant discipline.
5+ years of relevant indirect procurement experience in international work environments.
Knowledge of packaging commodities will be advantageous.
Preferably have experience within the Middle East and Africa region.
Good knowledge of procurement processes and awareness of the complexity of workflows in the region.
Comfortable working on actionable recommendations and executing effective implementation plans.
Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, would be advantageous.
Fluent in English.
