Job Description

• Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.
• Versed in rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education and ensures compliance during the admission process.
• Maintain an accurate record of all places available at the school and an up-to-date waiting list that details students who wish to be enrolled and have passed any necessary placement tests.
• Meet with prospective parents; explain admission procedures, curriculum, fee structures and SPEA regulations.
• Ensure all admission documentation is completed effectively.
• Respond to all enrolment inquiries, telephone calls and emails, courteously and in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain current Acceptance, Waitlist, and Deny of admissions letters.
• Manage the maintenance of an accurate database of all new registrations, current students and exiting students.
• Prepare reports for the School Principal/CEO and the corporate office reflecting current enrolment, waiting lists and the status of vacant seats.
• Update, maintain and manage the student information in the system ensuring that up-to-date information is available on a daily basis.
• Maintain communication with other GEMS schools Registrars in a similar target market to ensure that prospective parents who are unable to secure a place at the school are guided to secure a place at an alternative

• Update weekly and monthly enrolment reports for Principal/CEO and GEMS Corporate Office. Assist the
• Principal in making student projections and consequent strategic planning.
• Maintain and create files for all new applicants, new students, current students, exiting students and alumni.
• Meet with prospective parents to explain admission procedures, curriculum, fee structure, and regulations in order to ensure prospective parents enroll their children at the school.
• Registrar in a similar target market to ensure that prospective parents who cannot secure a place at the school are actively guided to secure a place at an alternative GEMS school.
• Maintain an accurate record of all places available at the school and an up-to-date waiting list details
• Students who wish to be enrolled and have passed any necessary placement tests. Registrars should aim to have 50 students per year group, fully assessed waiting to be placed.
• Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
• Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Principal.
