Job Title: Commercial Planning Manager
This role involves developing and executing strategic commercial plans to drive business growth, optimize revenue, and ensure alignment with the company’s overall objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Management:
Review and Approve of Profit & Loss statement
Validate Financial assumptions and ensure aligning with business operation.
Develop and implement pricing model to adopt local and international business.
Manage and monitor detailed cash flow at milestone levels for inflows and outflows to ensure healthy financial operations.
Strategic Commercial Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with business goals.
Design and execute commercial strategies to maximize sales turnover.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports on commercial activities and outcomes
Support budget analysis and the preparation of presentations for budgets and business plans.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks to commercial operations and develop mitigation strategies
Establish internal controls to monitor pricing, cost structures, and financial assumptions.
Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analysis to anticipate challenges and develop contingency plans.
Identify potential risks and opportunities to maximize profitability.
Operational Efficiency:
Advise on the process changes to reduce the timelines for Customer pricing and P&L preparation.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial activities
Ensure commercial operations comply with EDGE policies, procedures, and regulations.
Develop template for standard costing; unit cost analysis; reports; inventory analysis; cost absorption parameters and any other template required based on the specific project requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with the BD team to optimize pricing strategies.
Deliver effective communication to customer queries within given time from the day of the receiving the queries.
Collaborate with BD, finance, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure alignment of commercial plans.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Encourage the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance commercial performance.
Ad Hoc Reporting:
Deliver EDGE ADHOC report requests.
Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor degree in accounting/ finance or equivalent
Professional certification in accountancy (CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA etc.)
10 years of experience in commercial planning and pricing in a public/private organization.
Experience in pricing and commercial planning in a public/private sector defense engineering organization.
