IT Officer Full Time

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Officer to join our team, responsible for providing essential IT support and ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and development of our school’s technology systems and infrastructure.




Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain and manage the school’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and computer systems.

· Provide technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

· Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.

· Ensure data security, perform regular backups, and manage user access controls.

· Troubleshoot technical problems and minimize downtime by providing efficient solutions.

· Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate technology into the curriculum.

· Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and manage procurement when necessary.

· Train staff and students on the effective use of technology and digital resources.

· Ensure compliance with school policies and data protection regulations.

· Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Proven experience in IT support, network management, and systems administration.

· Strong knowledge of operating systems, hardware, software, and networking protocols.

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

· Experience in an educational setting is a plus.
