Scope of Position

As an F&B Reservations Agent, you will play a pivotal role in managing reservations and customer queries for the hotel’s exceptional dining outlets. You’ll ensure a seamless experience for guests while maintaining the highest quality and data standards set by Mandarin Oriental.

Key Responsibilities

• Reservation Management: Handle all restaurant reservations via phone and email, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the booking system.
• Customer Support: Offer personalized recommendations to enhance guests’ dining experiences. Address special requests and modifications promptly.
• Revenue Contribution: Maximize booking conversions and promote special events, seasonal menus, and exclusive offers.
• Event Coordination: Manage group and event booking requests, ensuring timely handover to the relevant teams.
• Database Integrity: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database while adhering to IT security and compliance policies.
• Flexibility: Work rotational shifts as required by the business.
• Team Collaboration: Perform additional tasks as reasonably requested by management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years in a high-end customer service role, preferably involving direct customer interaction.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages such as Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, German, French, or Spanish are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with table/reservation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of food and beverage operations and dining trends is advantageous.
• Interpersonal Skills: Courteous, professional, and capable of building positive guest relationships.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
