Overview

Gallagher is looking for a Reinsurance Technician to support the technical, administrative, and credit control operations within the reinsurance business by delivering high-quality policy servicing, contract issuance, credit management, and operational support. The role ensures timely and accurate booking, documentation, and follow-up for client accounts and reinsurer settlements, while maintaining compliance with internal and market requirements.

How you’ll make an impact

• Manage credit control activities including premium collection, chasing payments, and updating internal NOC and funding processes.
• Assist in policy booking and issuance process.
• Maintain accurate policy booking and issuance processes in line with internal systems and regulatory requirements.
• Process and assist in the calculation of premiums
• Prepare credit and debit notes.
• Keep meticulous records of accounts that have been processed and those which have been finalised.
• Assist in preparing debit/credit notes and provide meaningful MI to support client reporting and management reviews.
• Liaise actively with Brokers, Underwriters, Clients, and Market Representatives via email, telephone, and in-person meetings.
• Maintain workflow documentation, paperless records, and tracking to streamline and enhance team operations.
• Investigate discrepancies between premiums and instructions, resolving issues independently or escalating where appropriate.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all tasks by month-end deadlines, providing MI and analysis as required.
• Liaise with internal departments to support effective booking, query resolution, and compliance with policy booking and credit control procedures.
• Identify and escalate any issues impacting service performance
• Resolve issues internally and support resolutions externally

About you

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, finance, or related field.
• Progress toward ACII or equivalent professional insurance qualification is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Good knowledge of reinsurance operations, policy documentation, credit control, and reinsurance accounting
• practices, specifically complex facultative risks such as Energy and Construction.
• Understanding of compliance, regulatory expectations, and operational control procedures in the UAE and DIFC.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a reinsurance operations, policy servicing, or technical administration role.
• Proven experience with credit control processes and managing reinsurance payments or NOC workflows.
• Proven experience in policy booking, premium reconciliation and documentation preparation.

Skills / Other

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with brokers, clients and internal teams.
• Ability to spot and resolve discrepancies in technical accounts and policy documentation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle high volumes of transactions with tight month-end deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to adapt quickly to internal systems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
