Job Summary
This position is within the WT Shared Service team and will support the Compliance team with various day to day activities and month end close responsibilities. The Senior Accountant should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. An ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should be savvy in Excel, have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and the ability to create and maintain a team-oriented environment. The Senior Accountant should also possess the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet timeliness in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates and have strong integrity and ethics. Successful candidate for this position is responsible for VAT Returns, SOX Reporting, External and Internal Audits, ICV and assist with other accounting activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares timely and accurate periodic VAT Returns,
Perform VAT and tax related accounts reconciliations, and VAT Refund application as they are available.
Support External, Tax, Internal audits and ICV Certifications
Perform timely and accurate periodic SOX reporting, Walkthroughs in accordance with NOV Accounting Control Manual
Periodic review of Balance Sheet Accounts and perform quality check on balance sheet reconciliations,
Ensure timely and accurate periodic reporting
Support Finance Shared Service team in case of issues, escalations, accounting adjustments
Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to assess risks and due diligence for safeguarding resources
Identify opportunities for automation to enhance productivity
Highlight opportunities to enhance efficiency
Implement best practices and standardize processes across ME ledgers
Attend various ad-hoc request

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential:
Bachelors Degree in accounting
4 – 5 years of experience ideally in similar role
Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP
Must be detail-oriented and organized to ensure quality results.
Ability to work as a team member, multi-task, analyze information to draw a conclusion and meet deadlines
Good knowledge of internal controls and understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is preferred.
Hands on experience with ERP (JDE, Oracle).
Desirable:
Professional Finance related qualification like masters degree in finance, CA, CPA is preferred
