Respond to and address guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventative maintenance on kitchen and machine room tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-off valves for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed. Communicate daily activities and problems to employees on other shifts using appropriate communication programs and standards. Demonstrate knowledge or basic ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management. Perform surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and woodwork repairs, replacement of light bulbs and air conditioning filters, and thorough cleaning of painting or repair area. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclogging toilets and drains), electrical components including light fixtures, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replacing switches and outlets, and other guest room items. Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory related to engineering. Use Lockout/Tagout system prior to performing maintenance work. Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs as well as exterior landscape irrigation systems. Demonstrate basic computer operation including entering air conditioning and temperature control system schedules.

Ensure that your uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional, maintain the privacy of property information, and protect company property. Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure that quality expectations and standards are met. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in achieving common goals and listen and respond appropriately to other employees’ concerns. Speak with others using clear, professional language. Move, lift, carry, push, drag, and place unassisted objects weighing 50 pounds (4.5 kg) or less, as well as lift heavier weights or perform tasks involving movement without assistance. Climb and descend stairs, service ramps, or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, pulling, and stooping. Enter and locate job-related information using computers. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
